Our Mission

We Eliminate Problems,
Not Just Their Effects

Full S.T.E.A.M.E. Ahead, Incorporated (FSA Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit that works to develop solutions eliminating the underlying causes of community problems — not just their recurring effects. Our goal is not continuous intervention. It is empowerment. Every program we build touches at least three of our five F.L.A.R.E. pillars to ensure nothing we do is superficial.

The F.L.A.R.E. Model

Every FSA program is built on at least three of these five pillars. Nothing we do is standalone.

Food

Every self-sustaining community must develop and maintain affordable, quality, and sustainable sources of food for its members.

Learning

Education is a lifelong process. We meet learners where they are and teach them what they want to learn, when they want to learn it.

Art

Art preserves culture, inspires hope, and brings people together. To neglect art is to neglect community safety, care, cohesion, and identity.

Research

We define problems thoroughly before pursuing solutions — because a poorly defined problem is impossible to solve.

Environment

If you take care of the environment, the environment will take care of you. For a community to be sustainable, the environments where it exists must be sustainable too.

Three Units. One Mission.

01

Education

From after-school programs and summer camps to tutoring and scholarships, our Education unit builds the S.T.E.A.M.E. pipeline from the ground up — meeting every learner at their level.

After-School • Summer Camps • Tutoring • Scholarships • K-12 • Post-Secondary

02

Research

We study the root causes of community challenges — from food systems and zero-waste models to community resource optimization and complementary medicine — to develop tools and knowledge that enable lasting change.

Food Systems • Zero-Waste • Resource Optimization • Community Analysis

03

Outreach

Distribution, training, and counseling programs that address the immediate effects of systemic problems while our research works to eliminate their causes. We fight the war on all fronts.

Distribution • Training • Counseling • Community Support • Volunteer Programs

Join. Build. Sustain.

Whether you give, volunteer, or partner with us — you become part of a growing community committed to building communities that no longer need us.

That is the goal. That is the win.
